Q. What is MostMetals.com?
A. MostMetals.com is probably best described as EBay for the Metals Industry. MostMetals is an online meeting point for people who either want to buy or sell prime or semi prime metal (not scrap) in a secure and risk free way.
Q. Does MostMetals.com sell its own stock?
A. No - MostMetals.com acts in the same way as EBay - its a venue for buyers and sellers only and does not sell its own product.
Q. Is MostMetals.com a replacement for stockholders?
A. Defiantly not. MostMetals can not provide the continuity of supply that stockholders offer.
Buyers
Q. Why do I have to pay upfront?
A. MostMetals.com bring trust to the transaction for both sides. We provide assurance to both the buyer and seller that the payment will be made and the goods will be as described.
Q. What would happen if the metal is not as described?
A. This is a rare event because suppliers know they will not get paid until you are happy. In the first instance contact the supplier to see if you can resolve the issue by renegotiating the price. If you are not happy you can return the material for a refund.
Sellers
Q. How soon will I get paid after the buyer has received the goods?
A. We normally release the payment within a couple of days. If you have registered your bank account details with us we will pay by BACS so speeding up the process for you
Q. How much does MostMetals.com charge to advertise?
A. Its free to advertise and we only charge a 3% commission (with a £10.00 per transaction minimum charge) once we have sold your goods.
Q. How many items can I list?
A. As many as you want is the simple answer. The ideal items to list are your slow moving and redundant stock items as MostMetals.com's users expect listed items to be cheaper than from a stockholder.
Q. What do I do if I sell the advertised metal off MostMetals.com?
A. Take the item off MostMetals.com by clicking on "My Stock", click "Edit" on the selected stock item and then either change the Status from "Active" to "Disable from further bidding" or to permanently delete it click on "Delete"
